Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22-07-2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Orderly (“Orderly,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Orderly mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, the “Service”).
By using Orderly, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy.
- Account Information: full name, business name, email address, country, and password (encrypted).
- Order Information: buyer name, buyer email address, buyer delivery address, item descriptions, and pricing entered by Sellers.
- Bank Details: account number, bank name, and account name provided by Sellers for withdrawal purposes.
- Device Information: device model, operating system version, and whether the device is physical or virtual, collected at signup and login for security and fraud-prevention purposes.
- Push Notification Tokens: Firebase Cloud Messaging tokens used to deliver order and payment notifications to your device.
- Usage Data: general interaction data with the app (e.g. screens visited, actions taken) used to improve the Service.
- Payment Information: when a Buyer pays through Paystack, we receive transaction confirmation data (amount, payment channel, payment reference, and timestamp). Orderly does not store full card numbers or sensitive payment credentials — these are handled directly by Paystack in compliance with PCI-DSS standards.
We use the information we collect to:
- Create and manage your Orderly account
- Process orders, payments, escrow holds, and fund releases
- Send transactional push notifications (e.g. payment received, withdrawal status, order updates)
- Verify your identity and prevent fraud
- Provide customer support
- Improve and maintain the Service
- Comply with legal and regulatory obligations
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:
- Payment Processing: with Paystack, to process payments, transfers, and withdrawals.
- Push Notifications: with Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google), to deliver notifications to your device.
- Order Fulfillment: a Buyer’s name, delivery address, and email are shared with the Seller of the relevant order so the Seller can fulfill it. A Seller’s business name and order completion count are shared with Buyers during checkout.
- Legal Requirements: if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Orderly, our users, or others.
- Business Transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
4. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Transaction records are retained for a minimum period as required by applicable financial regulations, even after account closure, to comply with anti-fraud and audit obligations.
5. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to our legal retention obligations
- Withdraw consent to non-essential data processing
To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.
6. Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted password storage, row-level access controls on our database, and signature verification on all payment webhook communications. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children’s Privacy
Orderly is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it.
8. International Data Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including through our infrastructure providers (e.g. Supabase, Google Firebase). By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
